Pacquiao to Diaz: Watch out for my right hand

Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao said Friday he has developed a more powerful right hand for the challenge against WBC lightweight champ David Diaz at the Mandalay Bay Hotel Resort and Casino this weekend.
"There's a big development on my right. I will use it on Diaz," Pacquiao told ABS-CBN's morning show, "Umagang Kay Ganda."
The Pinoy boxing idol, a traditional southpaw, said he and coach Freddie Roached developed his right punching hand for Diaz, who is also a southpaw.
"Medyo iba ang preparation natin na ginawa. Southpaw si Diaz. We have a different technique for a southpaw," Pacquiao said.
Pacquiao said he is all set and ready to slug it out with Diaz on Saturday (Sunday in Manila). The Filipino pride will try to make history as he attempts to be the first Filipino boxer to hold four titles.
"Hindi naman ako kinakabahan. [I'm] all set for the fight. Magandang laban ito," he said when asked how prepared he is for the fight.
Earlier, chief editor Nigel Collins of the boxing "Bible" Ring Magazine said the Pacquiao-Diaz "Lethal Combination" match-up has the makings of a very exciting fight.
“The old cliché that ‘styles make fights’ I think really applies here because we have two guys who likes to mix it up,” said
Collins, the helmsman of the “bible of boxing”, said in an interview over dzSR. Collins said the styles of both fighters seem to complement each other and this fact makes the bout exciting.“There are some advantages to Diaz as far as size goes, who's used to fight bigger guys.
There are also advantages for Manny, his speed, better boxing skills,” he said.
Pacquiao and Diaz both have exceptional stamina to last even for 15 rounds that is why it is easy to perceive that they will be slugging it out until the final bell.
The Filipino boxer has declined to make a prediction about the fight, but promised he will give his all in the fight to snatch the world title.
While most oddsmakers favor the Filipino bomber, Collins said that the fight’s excitement level will depend on Diaz.
“I think that Diaz has the kind of style, the kind of heart and durability to make it a kind of fight that's gonna have the fans on the edges of their seat if not standing up,” he said.
